[BNM] AV gear for meetings

I wholeheartedly agree with an earlier comment about the mics. Software
can't easily solve a hardware problem. In the case of conference meetings
it's acoustics lighting and focus.
I've found hangouts to be good for many individuals dialling into a group
but not so good at handling a boardroom scenario.
Also I've seen old (pre FaceTime) iChat look AMAZING when hooked up to a
real studio camera with all the required ports open and forwarded and
running between a university and a leased line.
So in terms of recommending gear I'm way out of touch with this field at
the moment, but make sure that both the audio and video products are
appropriate to the room or situation and that they feed into a computer
that deals with your conference software of choice. Tandberg and Cisco are
two obvious companies who I'd begin looking at.
